Asociation of 12 ikastolas and more than 10.000 students
Committed to development of education in the basque language, basque culture and values in a European context
Eusko Ikastola Batza was set up in 1986 by four ikastolas: in Bizkaia, Lauaxeta and Lauro, in Gipuzkoa, Ekintza and in Araba, Olabide .
Currently it is comprised of 12 ikastolas with more than 10.000 students, which in total make up 25% of the students studying in ikastolas.
Association of Ikastolas made up of non profit making centres of education that learn through the Basque language, and educate students respecting the Basque Culture and its place in a general European context, and which encourages participation of parents.
